The City of Camden engaged Humanity Pictures to film and produce videos telling the stories of iconic figures in the city. Camden has a rich history underneath the tapestry of a diverse population that has seen many changes over the past decades. The resilience of the residents is exemplified by the talent that has emerged, in spite of the hardships - or some would say, as a result of it, and has fostered a city that truly lives up to its nick name, "A City Invincible."
Throughout the coming year (2022), we will post videos of the interviews with these Camden icons, and hopefully tell stories you haven't heard, but hopefully will give you a different perspective about a city that is on the comeback.
Camden is truly Rising.
The Mayor's office of the City of Camden is proud to honor its own
hometown hero, Buster Williams.
With a career over 6 decades that spans the globe, Mr. Williams has won
numerous awards and recognitions, and has played, toured and recorded
with all of the giants of jazz. His imprint and influence on
the musical world is immense and will last FOREVER.
The celebration the city has planned will be great,
but it starts with a sit down interview
with Cynthia Primas, President of IDEA.
Enjoy.
